Fishermen of Bigouden, Bretagne - France
For more than 100 years the Fishermen of Bigouden, in southern Bretagne, were responsible for the large part of fishing. Since 2009 only 3 of 8 fishing harbours are left. A global trend. Among young people the job is considered as dangerous, tedious and the income is inconsistent. They don‘t see a future perspective. The reportage shows young captain Cédric Kerdranvat and his collegue David working in the traditional craftsmanship of inshore fishing. An ancient job which is just about to disappear forever.
